Class A3 Large Village

There were fourteen entries. Six won Silver, four silver gilt and four gold. Warkworth again won the Cameron Trophy for the best large village and also was awarded Silver Gilt in the national Britain in Bloom competition.

The Bloom Group’s achievements since the winter are extremely impressive and Warkworth is a credit to them, all of the other volunteers, and the local authority team.  The Millennium Green area has been transformed with the replacement of old shrubs with imaginative new planting.  Environmental quality is exemplary. There are several excellent front gardens and public areas planted by volunteers.  The Local Authority has been helpful in providing advice, plants and practical assistance.
