Class B1 Small Towns

There were thirteen entries in 2009.

Five Bronze medals were awarded, three Silver, six Silver Gilt and one Gold. The trophy went to Sedgefield.

Sedgefield is a small country town situated between the A1 and A19, and still retains its village charm.

The judges were greatly impressed with the floral displays throughout the town. The maintenance of the grassed areas, the church-yard and war memorial and the pride and dedication shown by the two gardeners employed to look after the area. The town has a well marked local heritage trail and praise should be given to all those taking part in community projects.
