Towns are classed according to their population size
Class B1 Small Towns
There were thirteen entries in 2009.
Five Bronze medals were awarded, three Silver, six Silver Gilt and one Gold. The trophy went to Sedgefield.
Class B2 Towns
There were seven entries in 2008.
One Bronze medal was awarded, two Silver, three Silver Gilt and one Gold. The trophy went to Morpeth.
Class B3 Large Town
There were eleven entries.
Three were awarded Bronze, four Silver, three Silver Gilt and one Gold. The Gold medal and the Whitworth Hall and Gardens Trophy went to Durham.
Class E Coastal Resorts
There were four entries.
One gained a Bronze medal, two Silver Gilt awards and a Gold medal and the Amberol trophy went to Saltburn by the Sea.
