Stockton on Tees was again the only entrant in this class and was awarded a Silver Gilt medal

Stockton is a national ambassador for Northumbria in Bloom, and is committed to the campaign despite current budget restrictions Their excellent biodiversity system is effective throughout the borough, and is an example that could be followed by others.  The colourful floral displays enhance effectively the natural local heritage in spring and summer. An extensive programme of countryside events during spring and summer is organised to encourage community awareness and an understanding of the living environment.
