Class C1 Small City

There were three entries.  Thornaby and Washington won Silver awards.

Darlington won a Gold award and the Scottish and Newcastle Trophy.

The judges said this was an excellent entry.  Enthusiastic council employees work extremely hard to ensure that Darlington is a very well kept, colourful and attractive city.  Darlington is rightly proud of its railway heritage and makes every effort to celebrate this especially on the numerous roundabouts.  The community is involved in a variety of ways thus enhancing the work of the council.
