Class C1 Small City
There were three entries. Washington won Silver and Thornaby Silver Gilt.
Darlington won a Silver Gilt award and the Scottish and Newcastle Trophy.
Class C2 City
Stockton on Tees was again the only entrant in this class and maintained its performance this year by winning a Gold medal and the Whitbread Trophy
C3 Large City
The only entry was Sunderland which gained a Silver Gilt award and the North East Co-op Trophy.
D1 Urban Community
There were five entries in this class. Belmont, Carrville & Gilesgate Moor, Grangetown and Marton West Ward received Silver Awards, Winlaton & Blaydon a Silver Gilt. A Gold medal and the Durham City Trophy went to Eston.
