Towns and Cities
1. It is regretted that no refund can be given in the event of an entry withdrawing from the competition. 2. Please note that entry fees must be paid at the time of entry. Cheques should be sent to the Secretary (see the Contacts page) and made payable to Northumbria in Bloom. 3. The population figure must be accurate and in accordance with the electoral roll. Please check accuracy. 4. Please allow at least 15 minutes extra for each minor award and 15 minutes for photographic opportunties and portfolio. 5. Lunch (if provided) - a maximum of 30 minutes. NEIGHBOURHOOD AWARDS This non-competitive category of Britain in Bloom is aimed at smaller resident-led communities who are taking their first steps towards greening up their local environment. Communities register to participate in one of three Neighbourhood categories depending on the size of the local population: Small neighbourhood (up to 300) Neighbourhood (301 - 1000) Large neighbourhood (1001 and over) While entries are not judged against each other, they are visited by Britain in Bloom experts who provide valuable feedback and helpful advice on how to develop current activities and encourage on-going improvements. Each entry is then presented with an Award of Improvement, Merit or Outstanding Achievement.
